Exosome treatment for thinning hair

With several hair loss treatments available, Clarite is focusing on the newest regenerative therapy using exosomes. Exosomes are an exciting new treatment for thinning hair, enhancing your body's repair ability. We can also combine exosomes with other products for optimal results.

Hair loss or thinning - affecting both men and women - can reduce self confidence and affect self-esteem. Hair follicles are formed before birth and over time can become dormant leading to a gradual loss in hair production. There are many additional factors affecting hair loss including inflamation and nutritional deficiencies so it is important to check with your doctor to rule out any underlaying medical problems. If you do not have a doctor testing can be arranged through our clinic.

What do exosomes do?

Exosomes do NOT alter genes or involve genes. They are very tiny vesicles that are secreted by cells. They work by using your own body to regenerate hair or skin. The exosomes that we use are registered with Health Canada.

The advantage of exosomes over PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatments is that exosomes do not depend on your age or health. The older you are, the less powerful are your growth factors but with exosomes this is not a problem.

Is exosome therapy safe for all skin types?

YES!

Are exosomes cells?

No, exosomes are not cells - they are secreted by cells and function as a messenger to communicate with other cells. Exosomes contain proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, growth factors and more. The exosomes used at Clarite are not human derived.

How are exosomes applied?

Two methods are available: low frequency ultrasound (sonophoresis) or microneedling. We have found that ultrasound is very effective, with no pain or discomfort. In some situations we prefer microneedling, but this would be determined during your visit.

What happens during an appointment?

Our medical doctor will review your health history and speak to you regarding your goals and expectations. Photographs of the scalp will be taken. Our medical esthetician will then perform the treatment. The scalp is cleaned and the exosomes applied.

How long does a treatment take?

This depends on the size of the area being treated, but generally varies between one half and one hour.

How many visits are expected?

As with most treatments results vary. Approximately four to six treatments are recommended. The treatment response is dependent on many different variables. As with any cosmetic treatment, results cannot be guaranteed.
