Clarité is now offering a new treatment for hair loss and thinning!
Hair loss can be very frustrating to deal with and embarrassing. Previously there were treatment options such as pills, topical medications, PRP (platelet-rich plasma therapy) or a hair transplant. Now, we offer a new treatment of REGENERATIVE MEDICINE with exosomes.
What are exosomes?
Exosomes are not new, but are rapidly attracting interest and popularity. They can help stimulate hair growth and improve the overall health of the scalp.
Exosomes are naturally produced and influence how the cell behaves. They carry lipids, growth factors, proteins, vitamins, minerals, coenzymes or peptides right to the hair follicle.
How do exosomes work on your hair?
Exosomes help thicken and strengthen hairs by revitalizing the scalp and the hair follicle, increasing skin blood flow and reducing inflammation. They also are known to stimulate dormant hair follicles.
Who can it help?
This treatment is helpful in women with thin or thinning hair due to menopause. For men, it can help with androgenic pattern hair loss or fine hair. It does not work on complete baldness where there are no hair follicles.
What is the difference between PRP and exosomes?
PRP (platelet-rich plasma therapy) relies on specialized equipment, separation procedures and the health of the blood. Exosomes do not! They have more specific signaling factors that are laboratory derived and consistent.
The advantages of Exosome therapy include:
- no downtime
- no needles
- no bleeding
How is the serum applied?
The exosome serum is applied to the affected areas using a specialized low frequency sonophoresis device. There is no pain or needles. It works by enhancing the absorption of the serum around the hair follicles. We also offer micro needling as an option.
Can it be used after a hair transplant?
Yes! This treatment is ideal after a transplant because there is no trauma to the skin and the exosomes assist with healing and reducing inflammation.
As with all other forms of regenerative treatments, there is variability in response. A medical review will be done prior to your therapy to ensure there are no medical conditions that would reduce your chances of success.
